HOA Meeting Ammended

Dear Members:

Due to numerous concerns in regards to the upcoming election of the Board of Directors, I am extending the date for receiving nominations for the Board of Directors till June 29, 2007.

The meeting to elect the Board of Directors shall be postponed until July 28, 2007 and will take place at the Legacy Bay Clubhouse at 3:00 P.M.. I will be forwarding to each property owner an agenda for that meeting in mid July.

The property owners shall on July 28th, 2007 elect 5 persons to serve on the Board of Directors. The following is quoted from the By-Laws:

?The members of the Association shall elect (5) directors to the Board of Directors. Each Director shall serve a (3) year term. All persons elected to the Board of Directors shall be members of the Association.?

At a later date the Board of Directors, acting under the guidance of the By-Laws, will hold elections for the Officers of the Association. These Officers shall consist of The President,(whom must be selected from the Board of Directors), the Vice-President, and the Secretary-Treasurer. Article IV, Sect. 1 of the By-Laws states:

?The Principal Officers of the Association shall be the President, the Vice-President, the Secretary-Treasurer, all of whom shall be elected by, and in the case of the President from, the Board of Directors. Persons may hold more than one office, except that the President and Secretary Treasurer shall be different persons.?

I regret that the postponement is necessary, but feel that in order for the HOA to be successful that the added time is needed to ensure that all members have an equal opportunity to participate in the process.
